Bates and Emerson present
Cirque de Sabotage

featuring Catriona ‘The Ringmaster’ Knox

Directed by Gemma Arrowsmith

Acclaim for 2006’s Dogs in the Sink: ‘If Crufts had a comedy class then these two girls would win Best Bitches in Show’ – Scotsman.

Bates and Emerson present Cirque de Sabotage: an all-female comedy sketch show, framed by the story of a small and struggling Russian circus troupe. Be prepared for a revolutionary extravaganza of hectic sketches, verbal trickery, leotards and lion-taming, all whipped into shape by Catriona ‘The Ringmaster’ Knox. Featuring camels, trapezes, flaming hoops, a dynamic soundtrack, unashamedly silly costumes and a rare appearance from Lindsay the Snout-Faced Woman.

Meet three girls with a talent 14 times bigger than Paul Daniels’.

Bates and Emerson have performed regularly as part of Brian Luff’s Sketch Club, Downstairs at the King’s Head, London. For Cirque de Sabotage they are joined by comic actress Catriona Knox, and have already previewed the show to full houses at London’s Canal Café Theatre. Magnificent, astounding, astonishing… prepare to be entertainerized.

‘You must be very proud’ – Lucy Porter (to Mr and Mrs Bates).
